CARE CENTRE
Excellence in care and quality in service are the values that underpin life at Millhouse Care Centre. An experienced team of nurses and care assistants work with our four star hotel standard catering and domestic staff to care for our residents in a warm, secure and comfortable environment.
Our healthcare team is made up of experienced nurses who are, in turn, supported by a team of experienced Healthcare Care Assistants. We offer our residents a holistic approach to nursing care based on up to date nursing and medical practices. With many years experience in both the acute and non-acute sector our Clinical Nurse Manager will ensure that you are allocated a nurse who will be your link nurse throughout your stay with us. Millhouse Care Centre provides 24 hour GP cover. Residents are also free to choose to retain their own GP throughout their stay if they wish.
All our staff undertake comprehensive training including client satisfaction, basic life support, manual handling, fire-safety training, etc. Skills are updated on a regular basis with all staff receiving on-going performance evaluation.
LIVING AT MILLHOUSE
For your comfort we provide a range of facilities at Millhouse Care Centre including:
Single en-suite bedrooms
o a number of twin bedrooms are available for those who would prefer to
share
o each bedroom is comfortably furnished with a spacious wardrobe, chest
of drawers, bedside locker, multi channel TV and direct dial telephone for
both incoming and outgoing calls, a call bell and a reading light
o each state of the art electronic bed is equipped with a mattress specifically
designed to minimise pressure
o all bedrooms and bathrooms is designed to facilitate wheelchairs
o each en-suite bathroom has a shower, toilet and hand basin as well as
a bathroom cabinet and emergency call bell
Spacious and comfortably designed day rooms
o number of large living rooms are positioned around the care centre –
each tastefully decorated in relaxing colour schemes and sumptuous furnishings,
featuring a large screen satellite TV, library and games area. The living
rooms are comfortable places to meet fellow residents for a chat or to get
together with family and friends.
o Millhouse day rooms provide ample space to relax, meet friends or enjoy
a good book from our library
o the ground floor day room provides easy access to our landscaped gardens
o each day room provides a range of comfortable seating options –
providing maximum comfort whilst enjoying your favourite program on our
42” plasma TV
o designated smoking rooms are available on each floor
Millhouse has a number of dining rooms, offering a menu that is
both appealing and nutritionally balanced
o menus are changed regularly to ensure variety
o our talented cooks will provide delicious meals in our two dining rooms
o residents have a choice of courses from our Á La Carte menu
o all special dietary requirements can be catered for
o residents have a choice of dining in the privacy of their own room or
the dining room
Our non-denomination Oratory provides a place for reflection and
quiet prayer
o prayer services are held weekly
Your safety and comfort is our priority
o to provide maximum protection for our residents and peace of mind for
family members, we have a comprehensive CCTV system together with a state
of the art wanderguard system for our Alzheimer’s residents

- on site laundry service, dry cleaning is also available at additional cost

Our highly skilled team of healthcare professionals are dedicated to making your experience with us an enjoyable one - our nursing philosophy is very much one of individualised care delivery tailored to meet yours and your loved ones requirements.
At Millhouse Care Centre we place great emphasis on providing services and activities that keep our residents mentally and physically active. There is a full activities program for both individuals and groups, including arts and crafts, live music events, exercise programs, internet access and much more which are all coordinated by our inhouse activities. We always encourage new ideas and are pleased to work with residents and friends and family in planning special events and celebrations for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
